Welcome to Jackson Main School

Jackson Main School is a diverse elementary school striving for excellence, endeavors to ensure a rigorous and comprehensive academic program for a diverse student body, in a safe and orderly learning environment.  We offer challenging and disciplined instruction, delivered with passion and dedication from our wonderful faculty and staff.  Our students attain the skills necessary to become successful and productive citizens in our society through partnerships with parents, school and community.

We are pleased to announce that Jackson Main Elementary School has been selected to participate in the National Assessment of Educational Progress, also known as NAEP on February 28, 2017 at Jackson Main Elementary School. You may have heard of NAEP. The results are called The Nations Report Card because it measures student achievement across the country. It is important because the results help the President, Congress, and all of our educators make decisions about how to improve our education system. The actual assessment takes about 120 minutes. During that time, selected 4th grade students will take an assessment in mathematics or reading on tablets or in paper booklets. Students will be asked questions about their educational experiences that may be related to performance, such as homework and reading habits. Student scores are anonymous and will not affect student grades or academic records in any way. Instead, they will be combined with the scores of other students to produce results that reflect student capabilities nationwide. Students who are selected to participate in NAEP have an important job to do. NAEP will provide a national snapshot of what students have learned in school, and it is essential that students take it seriously, try their best, and answer all the questions they can. Every students that is selected to participate will have a chance to have an impact on the future education policy decisions in the United States.
